Permitting & Licensing
Air Permits
Sargent & Lundy provides all aspects of air quality modeling and permitting. We maintain state-of-the-art computer modeling capabilities, including models approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and our own proprietary models. When on-site data is required, we design a monitoring program that meets all regulatory requirements and then subcontract a local company to conduct the program.
We have prepared numerous Prevention of Significant Deterioration of Air Quality (PSD) permit applications and State Air Pollution Construction and Operation permit applications for projects in diverse locations to meet unique location requirements.
Modeling
We possess significant experience performing air quality analyses supported by sophisticated air quality modeling input. We are proficient in understanding and relating to our clients various state and federal requirements and in determining strategies based on our air quality modeling results.
Our approach addresses individual stations and fleet emissions considerations in order to provide cost-effective compliance strategies. Our staff understands the limitations of air quality models, especially results interpretation that ensures that appropriate weight is given to practical licensable solutions.
NPDES
Sargent & Lundy is thoroughly familiar with NPDES permit requirements and plant design strategies to provide operating plant compliance.
