IGCC / Polygeneration

Coal gasification (IGCC) enables clients to produce synfuel and chemical products as a parallel product to coal power generation processes. IGCC removes sulfur more efficiently and provides syngas to the combustion turbine as an alternative fuel to natural gas.

Sargent & Lundy has participated in the development and installation of IGCC systems for more than 25 years. We performed the power island detailed design and integration of the gasifier and combined cycle unit for Duke Energy Wabash River station.
